Efficient, courteous cashier who possesses excellent customer service skills. The cashier takes customers' orders, ensures that prices and quantities are accurate, accepts payments, issues receipts, answers inquiries, and provides helpful information about customers' products, promotions, or item locations. You will also respond to complaints and maintain a clean workspace. To succeed as a cashier, you should have a strong work ethic and a high level of accuracy. You should be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service.
Essential Responsibilities
- Customer service
- Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations.
- Preparing drinks and cocktails according to specifications.
- Accurately explain food orders to cooks, with specific attention to allergies and special requests.
- Operating square point of sale, cash registers, and other electronics.
- Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.
- Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate, and providing a receipt to every customer.
- Processing refunds and exchanges with assistant manager/manager approval, resolving complaints.
- Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport.
- Following all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or the purchase of specific items, such as alcohol.
- Maintaining a clean workspace.
- Following TO DO lists.
- Side Jobs will be assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Customer service or cashier experience.
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
- High level of energy with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service.
- Attention to detail.
- Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.
Education & Experience
- Customer service or cashier experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math and computer skills.
Hard-working prep cook to be responsible for setting up workstations in the kitchen and preparing ingredients for the cooking process. The prep cook is required to perform basic cooking duties, monitor stock levels, and take on culinary tasks as they arise. To be a successful prep cook, you should understand and be willing to comply with food and sanitation guidelines and regulations, be quick and diligent, and be willing to improve on the job. A top-notch prep cook should be able to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Setting up and sanitizing workstations.
- Following prep lists created by chefs.
- Measuring ingredients and seasonings, and preparing cooking ingredients such as soup stock to be used in the cooking process.
- Preparing simple dishes, such as entrees or salads.
- Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible.
- Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise.
- Distributing plates to wait staff to be served, cleaning plates for dishwashing, and preparing takeaway packages for customers.
- Supervising food and cooling room temperatures.
- Accepting or rejecting ingredients from suppliers.
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen.
- Preparing drinks and cocktails according to the chef's specifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience as a prep cook may be advantageous.
- Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Culinary school training would be advantageous.
The cook will prepare meals and follow establishment recipes. Duties include preparing ingredients, adhering to the restaurant menu, and following food health and safety procedures. Cook, clean, assist other cooks and staff, and deliver food in a fast-paced environment. Work may include operating a grill, oven, or fryer. Previous experience in a team environment and various cooking methods preferred.
Essential Responsibilities
- Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstations.
- Preparing ingredients for the shift: washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.
- Preparing the oven, utensils, and grill for shift.
- Taking orders from wait staff or a computerized system.
- Cooking order according to food health and safety standards.
- Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes.
- Handling multiple food orders at one time.
- Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive.
- Dressing order for presentation.
- Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides.
- Delivering food orders to wait staff on time.
- Storing all food properly.
- Sanitizing and cleaning workstations and utensils.
- Inventory stock and food supplies.
- Monitoring other cooks and team members.
- Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Compensation will be based on the applicant's experience.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
- Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks.
- Able to quickly memorize complex or multiple orders.
- Legally able to work in establishments that serve alcohol.
- Able to work early mornings, nights, and weekends.
- Able to bend, move, and lift up to 25 pounds or more.
- Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 25 pounds or more.
- Must pass a background check.
- Able to read and write.
Education & Experience
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a busboy, washer, waiter, cook, or relevant work experience.
