A Board & A Dream

It all started with a board and a dream. Joseph "Joey" Fullmer spent years chasing monster waves along the coast of Baja, where he fell in love with the simple perfection of authentic Mexican taco stands.

The First Location

In 2010 Joey brought that passion home. He converted a humble building in Hau'ula into a premium Baja-style taco joint that would change the North Shore forever. The restaurant quickly earned accolades like #1 Fish Tacos from Sunset Magazine and a front-page feature in the Star Advertiser.

A New Wave

In 2014, Elen joined the ohana, bringing 25 years of family business experience and a background in tourism. She refreshed the restaurant's atmosphere, improved the food, added Brazilian fusion touches, and helped launch the popular Sharks Cove food truck in 2015.

Today, our menu reflects the coastal lifestyle of Oahu's North Shore and the travels that shaped our love for great tacos. Inspired by Baja fish tacos and the fresh ingredients found across Hawaii, North Shore Tacos brings together casual beachside food and the surf culture that has always been part of our story.

Joey founded North Shore Tacos in 2010. His leadership and passion for Baja-style flavors created an award-winning menu that earned the #1 Fish Tacos title from Sunset Magazine.

Elen Corazzari, Co-Owner and Manager

Elen Corazzari

Joining in 2014, Elen revamped the restaurant's ambiance and service, and introduced Brazilian fusion dishes. Her innovative strategies led to the launch of our Sharks Cove food truck in 2015.

Tori Piccoli-Wong, Food and Beverage Manager

Tori Piccoli-Wong

Born and raised on Oahu, she brings nearly a decade of experience in events, corporate dining, and hospitality. Her dedication to quality service and team culture keeps the ohana running smoothly.
